The art of cultural commonalities.
When we go back far enough, we can see multiple commonalities recurring in the symbols and ritual artifacts of diverse Neolithic cultures (over 12,000yrs ago). These female figurines can be found throughout our shared migratory routes.
These shared commonalities were not limited to ancient cultures as they also appear in more recent Indigenous societies across the Americas, Africa, some parts of Asia, Australia, and the Pacific Islands. Research shows these cultural commonalities are not only stylistic but thematic, symbolic and conceptual. Thus, showing a deeper shared lineage, especially related to the interconnected motifs of womanhood.
