The search for our whakapapa (lineage) took us beyond living memory. Before there were country flags, national borders and the cultures we recognise today. Our search for the beginning led us to a truth we feel is more important now than ever before.

The truth is, we are all interconnected and interdependent. A culture is a beautiful fabric comprised of multiple threads of influence. If we go back far enough, we all share a common ancestry and a shared whakapapa.
